Two years ago I contacted Mike Young in England. Mike owns and runs the YouTube channel Aircrew Interview. I hope all of you will go to his phenomenal YouTube site! Mike and I have talked three times now, twice while walking around the Hill Aerospace Museum. The first interview Mike and I talked about flying tankers and how I became interested in flying.
The second interview was a question and answer session walking around the Hill Aerospace Museum, answering questions Mike received from his viewers. The segment goes for two hours. Mike and I were on Skype for over five hours during this interview… I had to plug my iPhone in to charge it while walking around with my Father-in-Law holding it while recording me. We had a great time doing this Q&A and there were a lot of great questions.
Our third interview took place in January and we did another Q&A segment which can be found here.
There are some incredible interviews on Mike’s Aircrew Interview channel. Want to hear from a Concorde pilot while he shows you the aircraft? Mike has it on his channel. Want to hear from an Air Force F-111 pilot and his exploits during the Cold War? Mike has the interview. Mike is now traveling all over Europe to do interviews with aircrews. He and I are trying to arrange a few with folks here in the states. If you are interested in doing a segment with Mike, contact me. He is always looking for people to put on his channel.
If you love flying, are a connoisseur of aviation history, and love hearing stories from the guys and gals who’ve been there and done that, I recommend all of you go to Mike Young’s Aircrew Interview channel.
